The Sun continues to shine this week in the tropical sign of Gemini, highlighting
ideas and communications. The world around you may seem to be abuzz with more talk than usual. Insatiable curiosity is the Gemini theme song; this is a cosmic invitation is to call in more variety in your life.
This week heralds two big upcoming cosmic events that occur next week: a
lunar eclipse on Monday, June 4; and a rare transit of Venus across the Sun
on Tuesday, June 5.
Sunday, the 27th, bursts with creativity and sizzle from the Uranus sextile
aspect to the Sun and Mercury. The Kepler College (of astrology) graduation
took place this evening during the United Astrology Congress (UAC) in New Orleans in which I am participating. The Uranus-Sun/Mercury sextile is a great omen for the Kepler graduation as Uranus symbolizes astrology, and Mercury symbolizes learning. Conversations can be electric and inventive. Having been a past president of Kepler College, I appreciate the pioneering efforts of Kepler students, faculty, and administration to explore opportunity for all of us is to put ourselves in situations where interesting communication can occur, even if it’s to attend a book reading, something new and fun on YouTube.
Monday and Tuesday, May 28 and 29, the Moon is in Virgo – days to get a lot
accomplished. Virgo symbolizes organization and efficiency, order and
cleanliness. Make your list and set out to get a lot of things checked off
on your “to do” list these first two days of the week. The Moon’s flowing
aspects to Pluto and Mars give a big boost of productivity. These
days can be ones of astonishing accomplishment, so make the most of them. The Sun is in a flowing sextile aspect to Uranus, symbolizing innovation and freedom. So what you accomplish may do more than just diminish the “to do” list with check-offs: It should lead to better futures.
Wednesday and Thursday the Moon is in Libra, the air sign that symbolizes
harmony and beauty. However, Wednesday is the day of this week that the
Moon lights up the increasingly tight and intense Uranus-Pluto square. This
day will be prone to conflict and challenge, and may propel you toward
change that is being demanded in your life. The Sun and Moon are in a
harmonious trine in the evening, and this alignment may help to settle the
rumblings and difficulties that have been stirred up earlier in the day.
Wednesday is a day of action and, perhaps, friction. Thursday offers
harmonious planetary energy (Mercury and Venus trine) for smoothing over
Wednesday’s rough edges.
Friday and Saturday the Moon in Scorpio. Often we just want to stay at home
and have quiet, intimate evenings when the Moon is this fixed water sign
that symbolizes deep feelings and hidden mysteries. A Mercury-Venus conjunction makes Friday more uplifting than it might be otherwise. Some “down” time early in the weekend and romantic dinners with your beloved could be very satisfying.
The week ends on an optimistic note as the Moon moves into Sagittarius on
Sunday, June 3. With the Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius, signs
symbolizing learning, freedom, and discovery, it’s a good day for at least a
short trip to explore something new. It’s also a good day for socializing
with engaging, curious, and intelligent people. This day’s many different
aspects call for a break from routine. Yet, a flowing trine between Mercury
and Saturn can enable us to ground our thoughts and organize our lives,
particularly a good thing to do this day in preparation for Monday’s lunar
eclipse.
Moon Void-of-Course:
This is the time when the Moon makes its last aspect in one sign and before
it moves into the next zodiacal sign. It is considered a time that nothing
decided or begun at this time will come to fruition. It’s not a good time
to shop, or make an appointment or hold a meeting in which you want to have
specific outcomes. It’s better to process emails, take a walk, or
catch up on reading.
This week’s void Moon periods are mostly during the night in the United
States:
The only period in waking hours is Thursday evening, May 30, at 6:31 PM PDT
until 5:31 AM Friday morning.
