In the Stars March 15-22, 2015…shining light on the astrology of the week: New Moon Solar Eclipse

Big shifts are coming. Cycles are turning to completion. Monday the 16th heralds the precise Uranus-Pluto square, the last of these seven squares over the past few years pulsing with revolutionary change, a focus that has fueled our lives and this blog each week. Although Monday sports the exact aspect, the dynamic change energy of the tight Uranus-Pluto square will carry through the first quarter of 2016…gradually lessening its tight grip demanding change. However this square impacts your horoscope, you have another year to work with this energy to make the changes being harkened.

We still receive the blessings of the brilliant Jupiter trine to Uranus, for the third consecutive week. These should be invigorating weeks. The trine is still within 2 degrees of exactitude throughout the coming week, still giving an extra big cosmic boost of good fortune that can come in the form of great ideas, breakthroughs, astonishing surprises, and fire in the heart for making big changes! The more you invest your energies for improvement, the greater your return. Allow for the surprises that may accompany the changes you cultivate.

Saturn turned stationary retrograde on Saturday, amplifying this planet’s symbolism of hard work and limitations. Saturn reminds us that diligent, hard work is in service of mastery. Apply yourself and take action to get a lot accomplished on this day. Review your business plan and set your specific goals and plans for the week ahead.

In addition to the exact Uranus-Pluto square, there are patterns at play Monday that stir emotions and challenge the mind. The Moon is in Aquarius, inviting us to think objectively and open up to new and different realities. Combined with the day’s other aspects, the Uranus-Pluto square really demands but also delivers personal and collective transformation.

Venus changes signs tropically on Tuesday, moving into Taurus, one of the signs it rules, and therefore where it expresses well. This shift is all about art and beauty and the sweetness of life. The Aquarius Moon makes benefic sextiles to Mars and Uranus, making Tuesday a good day to think through goals and challenges in new ways. The Moon is Void-of-Course beginning at 11:18 AM Pacific time, so hold meetings in the morning and back off from definitive actions in the afternoon and evening.

Wednesday and Thursday the Moon is in Pisces, dark as it is moving toward a New Moon on Friday. The days of a dark Moon call for completing projects in preparation for a new cycle. Wednesday is a soft, dreamy day. Let your imagination fly and dream an expanded, more beautiful world. Thursday is the last day of the astrological year, the last day with the Sun in Pisces, and the dark of the Moon. Both of these cosmic events mark cyclic endings. This is a day for a psychic cleansing in preparation for all to come. Emerge Friday stronger than you were Wednesday and poised to walk-jog-run with the Uranus-Pluto boost with a surging New Moon.

Early Friday morning the heavens shout out a New Moon Solar Eclipse at the very last degree of Pisces—at the very end of the astrological cycle. This New Moon is closely attended by Chiron, Neptune, and Mercury. All of these planets shining in Pisces call us to the messages of our hearts. Is your heart singing? How do you want to seed your life for the future? Both the Sun and Moon move into Aries on Friday, starting a dynamic new cycle. The time to blaze new trails presents itself to YOU.

Saturday is an edgy day, yet one in which lots of work can be accomplished. Emotions are fragile–yours and others–so stay cool and focused. This is the day of the week when the Moon shines its light on the very powerful Uranus-Pluto square. Take action and move forward!

Sunday is a day for practical pleasures such as gardening and cooking. The Taurus Moon calls out all things sensual. Make it a delightful day.

The Week in Short
Sunday: Take action to get a lot accomplished and plan the week ahead carefully. Tomorrow is the 7th and last of the exact Uranus-Pluto squares, times of great change.

Wednesday: Dreamy, imaginative day.
Thursday: Dark Moon—the astrological year comes to a close. Time for psychic closure.
Friday: New Moon Solar Eclipse at the last degree of Pisces. A new astrological year begins—and Sun and Moon in Aries call for a big leap forward.
Saturday: Edgy day that demands focus and hard work.
Sunday: A delightful day for practical pleasures.

Moon Void-of-Course:

This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet and before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it’s difficult to make decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. You will more easily get lost or meander if you’re trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.

    hello Cathy,
Did you really mean Pacific Standard Time for the moon void of course list now that we are in daylight savings?
btw, I still love your lists of things to do when venus is in XXXX. I print them out every time.

  2. Thanks, Galen, for catching this error. Of course it is Pacific Daylight Time and I just failed to change that notation–but will now! I’m glad you enjoy the Venus postings. Have to do a new one for this week’s Venus change to Taurus.
